About us
We do whatever it takes to prevent, rescue and protect these kids and teens from generational cycles of poverty and often very broken families where most of their parents are involved in drugs, alcohol, crime, and all levels of abuse. From the youngest to the oldest, they come with many traumas. Schools in Brazil only meet for half of the day, so that means school age children will typically be home alone or on the streets for the other half of the day if their parents or siblings are out of the house. In fact, 70% of our kids do not have a father in their lives. Worse and sadly, it is not uncommon for people to be killed in our community (due to an ongoing drug/crime war), enticed by trafficking, or sexually exploited. My dream is that these children can grow up to have a different life than their parents had, they will have choices, opportunities, freedom and a safe present and bright future.
Break the Cycle
Even though we are always in need of donations, we are able to run the entire program for 80 children and teens, including food, uniforms, building rental, maintenance, teachers' stipends, and school supplies for a small monthly amount. We believe it's possible to break the cycle of poverty and social vulnerability in an underprivileged community in Brazil through the global development of children through an encounter with Jesus Christ, and opportunities that set them up for a successful life.​ We also have a great program in music, health, and meetings and training for parents.
